Hip Hop for Hope, a benefit concert supporting the Youth Emergency Shelter Society, is Western Canada’s biggest all hip hop event showcasing the best in urban talent from dance studios, independent artists, youth in learning and professional entertainment. Over the past 7 years, Hip Hop for Hope has succeeded in raising over $135,000 which has been used towards the purchasing of Pediatric Cribs for children in care at the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation. The theme of this year’s event is “At The Movies”; presenting a fusion of some of the most iconic movies of the last 50 years with urban street dance and the hip hop culture. Audiences will get to relive some of their favorite movies from the past as well as see some of the most inspiring and talented dancers in Western Canada.

This year, the HHH team is supporting the Youth Emergency Shelter Society (YESS). The YESS is a well-respected and compassionate service provider for youth in need. We have joined forces with them in the fight to give Edmonton youth at risk a chance.



HOW CAN YOU HELP? 

1- Participate in Hip Hop for Hope - We are looking for dancers, singers, performers and backstage volunteers. Raise funds by selling tickets to an amazing event featuring…YOU! 


2- Come to Hip Hop for Hope! Be our guest, enjoy an extraordinary show, and encourage the youth of today to give back to the youth of tomorrow.

3- Donate to the cause - financially or with donation gifts for our silent auction, held in conjunction with our benefit concert. You can donate on our Causes page. More info on the Hip Hop for Hope Group page.

 We all believe in our community and want to make a difference. And by providing shelter, safety and hope to homeless and at-risk youth, we are giving our community, and them, a future .

Our goal is to raise $20 000 towards the development of an arts and dance program for high risk youth in care. Tickets will be available at Step by Step school of Dance on June 5 and June 12 from 1-5pm. Tickets also go on sale at the WInspear Box office on May 24th. Agency fees are in effect.
